CursorToNormal

CAD$1

This add-on, named "Cursor to Normal", provides functionality related to the positioning and orientation of the 3D cursor in Blender's 3D view.

Specifically, it adds two new operations that can be accessed from a panel in the "Tool" tab of the 3D view's UI panel:

  1. Cursor to Normal: This operation moves the 3D cursor to the selected faces' average location in the Edit mode. It then aligns the 3D cursor's orientation with the average normal of these selected faces. This is particularly useful for placing the cursor relative to specific geometry on a mesh object.
  2. Reset Gizmo: This operation resets the 3D cursor to the world origin, and then snaps it to the current selection in the Object mode. This is handy for quickly returning the cursor to a default position, and then positioning it relative to selected objects in your scene.

Please note that both of these operations work based on the current selection, so they may behave differently depending on what is selected when they are activated.
